I’ve bought few plants from Dobies

I’ve bought few plants from Dobies, which was said to be dispatched in august. I have waited till September before I’ve decided to email them. They had arranged to send one of the products while other plants are still waiting. The product I was sent to was supposed to have 6 varieties as stated on the website, but I was only sent with 2 varieties. Nevertheless there was always someone responded to my emails and they are always nice.

Plants have transferred well but the delivery was a nightmare. The packet was pushed into the letter box until it got stuck, opened and a number of the seedlings damaged

Useless admission system at the restaurant at Dobies Shenstone.

The restaurant at Dobies Shenstone.They have a system where you are asked to wait at the entrance to be seated. You wait, no one acknowledges, no one comes so after a while I entered and sat at an empty table. I sat and waited, sat and waited, no one came. I asked a member of staff how the service works and she said in an indignant manner if you weren’t shown to a table then we effectively don’t know you are hear. I explained I had been waiting and eventually gave up as no one came, she responded “we are busy” with the same indignant tone. The point is the notice doesn’t indicate that if they are busy no one will come at all, not even to reassure you that they will be with within a certain time frame. . As far as I could tell I was invisible and could have stood there for days. Having got past the very aggressive member of staff we were served within 5 mins. It indicates to me the staff likes to plod along at their own sweat pace and when the mood takes them they will go to let someone in. The management really needs to take ownership of how the admission system works because it isn’t working.

Had 4 items delivered at separate times,( under one order number). 3 deliveries arrived within 3 days of notification and were of good quality and growing on well. Only one package took 9 days and arrived dead. Excellent, polite, helpful service when contacting customer services and recompensed with a better substitute.
