Live up to the brand values.

I've read all the negative comments and feel for you all.I myself have experienced issues with their product, but their customer service has been tops for us. We recently purchased in the past year- 4 major appliances- speed oven, convection oven, gas cooktop and dishwasher. The speed and convection oven were promptly fixed as it was still one-year warrantied. We were dismayed when the gas cooktop stopped working last week. Thought we were going to have to pay for the fix; $200- just for the visit. Sent a letter to the Miele President and Director of Customer Service. Will never know if the President received the letter. Fortunately, the service guy came out the day after the e-mail and letter was sent. The cooktop was fixed promptly at no charge.My advice, you can go on social media and complain all you want, but its best to go to the 'top' people who can look after you. I believe Miele does really care to maintain their high reputation. Just not sure of quality anymore as ALL companies look out for their bottom line. Still, here in Canada, they maintain a high level of customer service.

Very efficient, good client relations, clean neat and tidy. Kept us informed about our appliance and with other information. Good work, job well done, thank you.

Engineer was very polite and explained what was happening with our dishwasher and proceeded to solve the problem.Excellent !

I bought a Honeycomb Washing Machine back in 2005. It has run like clockwork ever since. I had an engineer out about 3 years ago due to it running noisily but that was because I had forgotten to clean out the filter. I was advised then to not bother with Calgon tablets as it was near the end it's 10 year warranty. Since then I have had no issues and yet many other Dishwashers, Steam Irons have expired within 2 years. When I bought the appliance the Salesperson proved how strong it was by literally jumping up and down on the door - the inside is clearly every bit as robust. I could easily have had 4 or more washing machines in the time with all the stress of finding a replacement. I now know to buy quality and know why they can afford to offer 10 year warranties. Thanks Miele :) I might not be the best customer for you but I will be very loyal!

Ordered a new Miele heat pump dryer 3 days ago - arrived today. Instruction book said to leave for an hour before connecting mains, so did. Plugged it in - nothing.Tried another appliance in same socket, that was fine. Checked fuse in plug - that was fine. Rang Miele, to be told that yes, it was under warranty - I'd had it an hour! And an engineer would call in around 10 days! I said that I would return it, as it was clearly faulty, and was put through to sales, who offered to exchange it. I've accepted that, but now have to wait until tomorrow for a 'phone call from them to get a date. Miele - Sort your service out, particularly some of the nonchalant staff who don't seem to understand Customer Care! - Update, 13th October. Telephone call from Miele delivery service to say that due to a problem at their end a new dryer was not to be delivered, only the old one taken away! Cancelled the order, and ordered a new one from the Co-op. Complained to head office who did apologise, and as recompense for the affair offered to upgrade the guarantee on my new machine when it arrives to 10 years - standard is 2 years. Miele machines are undoubtedly good, and it's to be hoped that someone takes their Customer Service people to task, because their engineers deserve better. My advice? If a problem persists, take it to head office.

Just had my 12 year old cylinder vacuum cleaner repaired (under Domestic and General extended warranty) as the base had split around the front wheel. Came back like a new vacuum which was very pleasing indeed. First class service in every respect from a firm I would recommend unequivocally

Having had delivered on the 5 0ctober a Miele freezer FN26062WS to replace my old one that has given 20+ years service, I am pleased to say that the new one is quieter, more economical, frost free and has a well designed interior. The two thing that disappoints are the cosmetics of the unit and the difficulty in contacting Miele. The top of the freezer is of a poor finish and does not come up to the quality of the rest of the unit. The positioning of the freezer, means that every time we come down the stairs, the top is in view and shows a matt finish surface, a circular shadow with a raised centre. Together with a poor finish between the top and the front plastic cover.I originally put my concerns to Miele on the 7th October for which an engineer visited and reported it was damaged. Another Freezer was then scheduled to be supplied on the 21st Oct. The freezer was delivered, but when unpacked it was found to have the same problem and a mark on the door. Therefore the delivery was rejected. It was at this point my disappointment really started. Several calls where made through the automated phone system, some of which I hung up on after up to 30 minutes of background music. Finally I got through to a human voice who took details and suggested I send an email. I suggested that with the difficulty I have had, they should ask someone to ring me, and gave them my number. They agreed.By teatime I heard nothing so I sent an email via the website and asked them to call me. The following late morning I had heard nothing from them so I started again. This time I got as far as being given a direct number which was eventually answered. After I relayed what had occurred, the call handler suggested I send back the freezer for a full refund, because “another unit supplied could still have the same problem”. Having a freezer full of food and also the having to source another freezer prior to sending the original back, was not an option I wished to follow. I thought (wrongly) that Miele would wish to resolve the situation by supplying a freezer that did not have defects, rather than just walking away from the problem. The call handler suggested that as I did not want to send the defective freezer back, I should make some kind of proposal, which I said “such as”. After further discussion a proposal was made by them to refund some of the cost, and we keep the freezer. Although I felt disappointed I accepted the offer as I had enough and did not want to continue the saga. I also asked about the availability of extended warranty, as I was now concerned that the external quality was indicative of the components inside. The call handler’s reply was “we do not do extended warranty” This comment on extending is contradictory to their web site. Oh how this could have been a five star review if the freezer had been visually inspected before it left the factory. Or is this now the quality of Miele products! I just hope the tag line of 20 year tested comes good.

I have TWO mile vacuum cleaners...both red...S211 AND C1 cats and dogs pet hair...both have never let me down no matter what the task!Miele make quality vacuum cleaners that their rivals cannot match based on my experience!I have had Dysons/Vax/Panasonic/Shark...all decent enough quality and performed ok (but needed more maintenance than the Mieles)! The Miele suction on both the S211 AND C1 is just superb...even when bags are full/filters dirty...these Mieles still do not lose suction unlike the others I have mentioned!!!Superb products that leave their rivals gathering dust in the loft (like mine are now)!Would only ever buy Miele vacuum cleaners again...my tip is to change filters and bags regularly (Mieles own ones are best)...and these machines will last forever!Mieles customer care team also match the quality of their products....just been talking to a lovely young lady from Miele (Kathryn) who was polite/helpful and a credit to Miele ...so not only are their vacuum cleaners superb and a class above many of their rivals....their staff members and customer care team are in my experience second to none too!(Kathryn)!If you want a quality vacuum cleaner that will last ....Miele is the name you can trust...and if you want to deal with a company that looks after their customers then Miele won't let you down!
